Sovixis is often dramatically less expensive than the combined cost of the AI upsells offered by legacy tax research platforms, cloud AI usage fees, staff experimentation time, internal governance burden, ad hoc IT integration and LAN-side experiments, and related recurring staff and management unbilled time managing risks and chasing “the answer” — particularly for firms beyond the smallest solo practices.

Additional users beyond the included count are $50 per user per month. User capacity within the SKU’s cap can be added or removed month to month with 30-day notice. Capacities assume approximately 20% of users will engage in concurrent high-demand queries or prompts at any time; AI software is rapidly evolving with competing trends of efficiency and demand.

Most firms already absorb AI costs without separately tracking or reporting them: tax research subscriptions, Software-as-a-Service experimentation (and related token spend), internal AI-governance overhead, embedded IT support and project costs, and the unbillable hours your professionals spend trying to make any of it useful. Sovixis represents a structural commitment to AI, and can be implemented as a substitute for diffused operating cost or in parallel.

Pricing model

Why this pricing model.

Initial price covers hardware, build, and the work to get the appliance to your network. It is a one-time payment with the 50% deposit at contract and 50% balance at activation.

Monthly support fee covers the corpus updates, software updates, support response, hypercare and success reviews, and the operational discipline that keeps the appliance fit-for-purpose. It is fixed: no token charges, no usage billing, no surprise invoices.

The model exists because dedicated on-premise hardware lets it. Cloud AI runs on shared infrastructure with metered cost. Sovixis runs on a dedicated appliance with no metered upstream cost. Fixed monthly is honest pricing for that architecture.

Sovixis functions as dedicated managed AI infrastructure for your firm — not merely another hardware purchase or depreciable workstation. This structure simplifies budgeting and operational adoption by aligning the platform with ongoing technology and operational expenses, reducing procurement friction and avoiding the complexity typically associated with large capital infrastructure acquisitions.

Terms

Term and cancellation.

Six-month minimum. After that, month-to-month with 30 days’ notice. No multi-year lock-in.

You own the hardware from activation. We manage the platform under your subscription.

Cancel any time after the initial term and you keep the appliance. It keeps operating the work it’s already set up to do; new corpora, new uploads, and platform updates pause until you reactivate. We also support approved aftermarket transfers.

Detailed lifecycle terms — reactivation, transfer to another firm, continuity if Sovixis ever terminates services — are in the agreement.

Lifecycle

Hardware refresh and upgrade.

Refresh

You decide when. We provide the managed refresh service.

You own the hardware, so you decide when to refresh or upgrade. We recommend timing based on hardware fitness, lifecycle support windows, and utilization rates. Sovixis provides a managed refresh service to handle the cutover. Refresh is a new appliance purchase at then-current pricing; your monthly subscription continues uninterrupted. Credit or buyback may apply to the old appliance, and we support approved aftermarket transfers.

Upgrade

Customer-elective, costed at the time of upgrade.

Upgrade is the same mechanic as refresh, triggered by capability instead of lifecycle. Choose a larger SKU (for example, Tax Core to Tax Scale) or accelerated compute when new capabilities call for it. We provide the managed cutover. Credit or buyback may apply to the old appliance, and we support approved aftermarket transfers.

Is the price negotiable?

No. The configurator builds the price. There is no separate sales pricing and no discounting hierarchy.

What happens if my firm grows past the user cap?

Within the SKU’s cap (15 users for Tax Core; 30 for Tax Scale), you add user licenses at $50 per user per month. Above the cap, you upgrade to a larger SKU (customer-elective, costed at upgrade) — or add a second appliance and run a federated deployment. (Larger firms may contact us for private cloud and custom rack solutions.)

Can I cancel?

Yes. After the six-month term, month-to-month with 30 days' notice. You keep the appliance — it keeps operating for what you've already set up. Lifecycle and reactivation terms are in the agreement. (We support resale and secondary market transactions subject to buyer approval and an appliance reset fee).

Do I pay extra for queries or usage?

No. No token charges. No usage billing. Full appliance capacity is included.

What if I want to move to T-Tauri capabilities when they ship?

T-Tauri capabilities are software- and integration-led, delivered on the same dedicated appliance. The maturity arc is on the same architecture — the initial hardware platform supports T-Tauri all the way to Main Sequence and is only limited by compute. Hardware upgrades and enhancements are available when, and if, more compute is required.
