The operating system for regulated knowledge

About

Created by practitioners for practitioners.

Sovixis is a patent-pending platform for deterministic, auditable AI in regulated industries — a private, on-premise appliance architecture that makes professional-grade artificial intelligence safe to deploy.

This is not consumer AI repackaged for industry. It is commercial AI engineered for environments where trust, confidentiality, control and professional standards are non-negotiable.

The next decade of AI will be defined not by the largest model, but by who can deploy AI inside the law firms, hospitals, banks, defense agencies, energy operators and accounting firms that run the regulated economy. Generic, cloud-hosted chatbots cannot meet the confidentiality, jurisdictional, and audit obligations these institutions operate under. Sovixis was founded to close that gap.

For the institutions Sovixis serves, the appliance is not another AI tool — it is operational infrastructure. It collapses the gap between what AI can theoretically do and what professionals are allowed to deploy.

  • Privacy by design. Confidential regulated data never leaves the customer’s IT perimeter.
  • Authority anchoring. Every answer is grounded in curated primary sources with precise citations.
  • Auditability. Source, model version, corpus version, and reasoning path are recorded for every output.
  • Workflow integration. The platform sits above existing systems of record rather than displacing them, accelerating professionals where they already work.
  • Recurring economics. Continuous domain specific knowledge updates, regulatory refreshes, and model upgrades are curated, tested and delivered by Sovixis freeing out customers to focus on theirs.

Sovixis is built by Cunningham AI Solutions. It was originally created for, and is used daily by, Cunningham CPA PC — the working CPA practice where Sovixis was conceived.

Sovixis exists because the architecture for regulated client work is on-premise. Not "we sell on-premise because it's a feature." Not "on-premise is one of our deployment options." On-premise is the only architecture that lets a regulated or professional services practice safely use AI on real client matters at scale and responsibly integrate into — and eventually automate — complex long-flow business processes.

Cunningham CPA PC is a working CPA firm. The same firm that designed Sovixis uses Sovixis daily for its own tax practice. The appliance was designed against the standard a working firm needs — not a market segment study, not a design-partner discovery script. The standard came first; the product followed.

That order — practice need first, product second — is the structural difference between Sovixis and the AI tools the cloud market is full of. Cunningham AI Solutions, Inc., the company that builds and sells Sovixis, exists because Cunningham CPA, the firm, needed something the market did not offer. Cunningham AI Solutions is the seller, builder, and supporter of every Sovixis appliance. Cunningham CPA PC is the originating firm and the first daily user — not a commercial party to any Sovixis sale.

Every other AI offering aimed at this market is either 1. A bolt-on to an existing research subscription or 2. A defensive AI feature added to legacy tax software to protect incumbent revenue or 3. A cloud based solution architected around the vendor expediency. Sovixis is none of these. Sovixis is pure AI infrastructure for regulated knowledge work — enterprise architecture, with a roadmap to full practice enablement unburdened by any requirement to follow legacy software offerings or protect the revenue they generate. The architecture choice came first; the tax vertical came second.

We expect that clients will soon expect and even demand that firms use AI for the economic and quality benefits it enables. Sovixis is the architecture that lets a working CPA practice meet that expectation without surrendering the confidentiality, governance, and professional standing that earned the client relationship in the first place.

Jon earned his MBA from The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania and his Bachelor of Science, with Highest Honor, from Georgia Institute of Technology.

The team at Cunningham CPA use the Sovixis Tax Appliance every day. They are not on the Sovixis payroll. They are on the practice payroll. Their feedback is what makes the appliance fit-for-purpose.

Logan Davenport — Operations

Logan runs operational use of the appliance at Cunningham CPA. Day-to-day workflow, matter management, the discipline of using a governed AI tool inside a working tax practice. When something about the workflow does not match the firm's reality, the design team hears about it first from Logan.

Megan Gross — Tax Professional

Megan runs practice-level use of the appliance at Cunningham CPA. The intellectual work — research, drafting, synthesis, notice response. The capability families ship the way they ship because Megan and the practice team test them every week against real client work.

Customer data sovereignty.

Your firm's client data belongs on your firm's network. Period. The architecture that supports any other answer is the architecture we explicitly rejected — for security and safeguarding, for business process integration, to align with existing best practices, and to plant a firm foundation for each customer's AI evolution.

Predictable fixed cost.

Software for regulated work should not have surprise invoices. Token billing turns AI use into a budget anxiety. Fixed monthly is honest.

Phased coexistence — not rip-and-replace.

Your firm's existing tax software, DMS, scanners, and workflow tools have your team's institutional knowledge in them. In early stages, Sovixis is additive. Expansion, and decommissioning of overlapping tools and subscriptions, if it happens, happens at your firm's pace and strategy.

On-premise by design.

On-premise is not a deployment option. It is the architecture from the first transistor.

Built for practitioners by practitioners.

We do not sell a product we don't use. Cunningham CPA PC uses Sovixis daily for its own tax practice. Every design evolution is tested against the firm's reality before it is shipped to yours.

Comprehensive control discipline.

We run a documented control framework — written down, audited, used. The Sovixis Security Controls Framework is internal and confidential; we share it under NDA for firms running diligence.

The product maturity stages — Protostar, T-Tauri, Main Sequence — borrow their names from stellar evolution. A protostar is a star in its earliest phase: the gravitational structure is in place, the fusion is just beginning. T-Tauri is the next phase, where the star stabilizes and grows luminous. Main Sequence is the long stable phase where most stars spend their lives.

We chose the metaphor on purpose. Each Sovixis appliance is its own protostar. Each maintains its own intelligence, on its own dedicated hardware, behind its own firewall. A constellation of independent local stars — not one central cloud light-years away. Sovixis is many stars, each in its own solar system of clients, deliverables, professional staff, and relevant regulations. The cloud is one, and far removed.

The maturity arc names something true about the product. The stellar metaphor names the architectural truth — the work is distributed, the intelligence is local, the unit of capability is your practice.

Cunningham AI Solutions, Inc. is the legal entity behind the Sovixis brand. The company is based in Salt Lake City, Utah. The team is small by design — we build, ship, and support the appliance with operator-credible discipline rather than a venture-scale headcount and unstated scaling and data-scraping agendas.

Sovixis is the product line of Cunningham AI Solutions. The Tax Appliance is the first vertical of Sovixis. Future verticals — Legal Appliance, Medical Appliance, and others — will follow the same architectural pattern, the same originating-firm posture, the same maturity arc.

The Company has filed core and supporting provisional patent applications with a build-to-operate strategy rather than licensing or build-to-sell.
